Red Russian Seed Garlic

$10.00
Sold Out

This variety is a hardneck garlic that produces robust, healthy bulbs that you can harvest in early July. It has a spicy and intense flavour and a beautiful purple colour that any home cook would love. Each bulb will have 5+ cloves. Stores well.

4 bulbs/bag

To plant:

Prepare your garden bed with a few inches of compost and an organic fertilizer. Rake it smooth for planting. Poke 4” deep holes in a grid pattern, 6” apart.

Separate all cloves in each bulb, leaving the papery layers on. Pop each clove into a separate hole, pointy side up. Fill back the holes and cover your bed with a thick layer of leaves or other mulch for the winter.

Expect to see shoots poking up as soon as February!
